Moruya River
Head down to the front of the system for some nice catches of
flathead, bream, luderick, tailor and squid. Bait of choice
prawns, salted pillies, whitebait or live nippers!!
Tuross
The lake is starting to pick up from one end to the other with
flathead being caught on soft plastics down the front and in the
main lake. Bream are around the leases and the snags up
river. The perch are tight in the snags but are patchy.
Small suspending lures like the Strike Pro Pigmy or the Lucky Craft
Shingos are working well. Try the Atomic 3" prongs on the
flatties for best results.
Rocks and Beaches
Some salmon, trevally, bream and flathead are being caught in the
gutters around the South Head and Congo area. Good drummer
and bream are also being caught off Congo rocks and the breakwall,
with some salmon thrown in. Best bait - pilchards, prawns,
cunji and metal lures.
Offshore
Captain Ron onboard Winda-Whopper reports some very good catches -
when the weather has permitted - of snapper, mowies, gummy
sharks, nannygai, pigfish, flathead and extra large chinamen
leatherjackets. Ron recommends anchoring up in around the
40-50 metres of water mark and even out to 70 metres, burley
up with cubes of pilchards or tuna bait then fish with the

For those of you chasing snapper - try your luck with Gulp 5" and
7" Jerk Shads and also the Shimano Lucanus jigs.
