--Hey guys here goes for this weeks report
Moruya river
Some nice catches of flathead are being caught up around the
hospital area at the moment, with the baits of choice being prawns
and live poddy mullet. If you head down to Preddy's wharf,
you can expect to be rewarded with a large number of Luderick,
Bream and Trevaly - mainly being caught on peeled prawns and live
beach worms.
Turross Lakes
Team Tackle World member Juy and his father had some great
sessions on both softplastics and bait, catching nice salmon and
bream up to 1.2 kilo and then they got stuck into some nice
flatties up to 68 cm on bloodworm squidgy wriglers.
Rocks and beaches
The breakwall is producing good numbers of salmon, tailor,
bonito, slimies and large bream. Best bait for these fish is
pilchards and live beach worms. For the lure tossers try the
new 3 inch vibes from strike pro on your light bream gear and have
a ball, just up your leader to 10 or 12 pound and hang on. Most
beaches around the area are producing good numbers of extra large
bream, again being caught on live beach worms.
Offshore
Capt Ron onboard Wind a Woppa Fishing Charters reports this week
great numbers of different species of fish including one session of
30 plus mowies, 10 snapper, 7 pig fish and a couple of sharks all
caught on fish baits out in 40 to 50 meters of water. Further
out on the shelf good numbers of marlin are being tagged and
released around Turross canyons, most of the fish are being caught
trolling skirts. Some nice yellowfin are also showing up.
Tight Lines!
