Hey Guys - hope everyone is well. We were lucky enough to get
out and about on the water this week and enjoyed a nice session on
Tuross. Here goes for this weeks report.
Moruya River
There are still plenty of salmon and tailor in the river - try
trolling with Arma Anchovy metal slices for best results or for
those who prefer bait fishing, gang up some pillies and give it a
go. Some nice catches of flathead are being had off the bank
near Ryans Creek on Gulp swimming mullet in the nuclear chicken
colour. We have also had reports of alot of bream and
luderick in the system.
Tuross
Team Tackle World members Graham and Mark headed off and enjoyed
a very nice catch and release session last Sunday. Graham
caught a nice Perch on Atomic Hardz Shad 50 deep down the front of
the system.
They then headed off for a "rack attack" and were rewarded with
a selection of bream all on SX40's. The four-ways produced a
large mullet around the 2kg mark on Berkley Big Eye metal vibes and
also some nice flathead responding well to Gulp 3" swimming mullet
in Pumpkinseed colour.
Team Tackle World member Dickie also enjoyed catching and
releasing some very healthy whiting and luderick on vibes as
well.
Rocks and Beaches
Congo beach is producing some very nice catches of both whiting
and bream at the moment on beach worms. Good salmon and
tailor are also being brought in. The headlands are producing
nice catches of drummer off peeled prawns, while the wall is still
working well for salmon and tailor.
Offshore
Captain Ron onboard Winda Woppa reports some excellent catches
of snapper, mowies and silver trevally all in the 42 m mark.
A mild current is running at the moment with the water temperature
sitting on 18.8 degrees celcius. Catches of Mako were also
had off fish bait and all is looking well for a weekend of
successful fishing!
If you're lucky enough to get out to the shelf, catches of both
yellow and blue fin have been reported.
Have a great weeks fishing everyone and remember ... "every
day's a good day for fishing"!
Head on in store these school holidays for some excellent
bargains, one of which - Blue Eye Sunnies - reduced by a
massive 30%!!
