Hey Guys - hope everyone has enjoyed a good weeks fishing.
We managed to get out on Sunday and enjoyed a nice session on the
water. The weather is turning now and the days are clear and
(nearly) warm!
Moruya River
Some nice catches of flathead and blue-nose bream were had
halfway between Preddies wharf and the "hole in the wall".
Team Tackle World member Dickie enjoyed a great catch and release
session from Quarry Wharf down to the front of the system and was
rewarded with salmon, trevally, tailor and bream on Berkley
MF40's.
Tuross
Graham hit the water on Sunday for a great catch and release
session on the bream using SX40's. Nice Perch are still down
the front of the system, with catches of salmon also. The
four-ways produced some nice catches of flathead on Atomic
Guzzlerz.
Beaches and Rocks
Blackfellows Point is producing some nice catches of salmon,
tailor and bream, with Salmon also being abundant on Broulee beach
during the afternoon. Trevally are also being brought in "off
the wall".
Offshore
Captain Ron onboard Winda Woppa reports good catches of snapper
and mowong - in the 45-60 cm range in 52.5 m of water. The
sea temperature is running at 15.9 degrees celcius with a mild
current so 6 and 8 oz sinkers are OK. Some large 7-gill
sharks in the 60+ kg range have also been caught, with quite a few
released in excess of 80 kg.
The occasional flathead are out in the 65 m mark, however a
little bit quiet, but there are fish "on the bite" in close.
Please note that Captain Ron is now taking out specialised shark
fishing tours as well.
Drop in store to enjoy good savings on Companion fridge/freezers
