Hey Guys - once again the weather has been a little bit
topsy-turvy, but the forecast is good and its a beautiful day
today. Here goes for this weeks report.
Moruya, Tuross and Surrounding Estuaries
Good catches of flathead are being had throughout both Moruya
and Tuross on soft plastics such as Squidgy Evil Minnow Wrigglers
100mm or Gulp 3" Nuclear Chicken Flickbaits - both tried and tested
time and time again to prove their effectiveness!
With the warm weather here surface poppers are the go for your
bream and whiting in the shallows - try throwing around
either Sebile Splashers, Stiffy poppers or Instinct 5-piece popper
packs. Once again good feeds are coming out of both
systems.
That school of salmon is still in Tuross so you can have a bit
of fun with them as well.
With one eye on the barometer and the other watching flying ants
everywhere and an impending storm in the distance Team Tackle World
members John Snr, Graham and John Jnr headed out in the canoe for a
go at Bass in the upper reaches of Tuross. Great fun was had,
Bass were caught and released and it was a huge effort paddling
back to the car soaking wet and surrounded by full graphite rods
with lightning abounding all over - we did however have
fun!!
Beaches and Rocks
Meringo is seeing excellent catches of salmon off ganged pillies
or Arma Twisty's, with Racecourse also seeing nice catches of
bream. Team Tackle World member Nathan enjoyed a good session
off Pedro beach the other day scoring some lovely whiting off fresh
beach worms.
Offshore
Captain Ron onboard Winda Woppa I and II reports the current
water temperature running at 18 degrees celcius. Ron headed
straight off Moruya into the 50 metre mark to enjoy good catches of
extra large sand and tiger flathead, gummy sharks, big pigfish,
with some nice plate size mowies and nannygai thrown in as
well. Ron then headed out into the 60-70 metre mark to enjoy
good catches of kingies up to 1 metre in size.
If its whales you're interested in, then there's plenty of them
frolicking around at the moment.
Specials this week include Shimano Brutus Jig Sticks for
$125.00, as well as Power Surf 12' full graphite beach rods to
clear at $125.00 while stocks last.
Don't forget that fresh beach worms are once again back in stock
each week - they don't last long, so either ring to secure
your tub or head in early!
For those adventurers out there now is a good time to
lay-by your archery gear for Christmas - its not that far
away!!
Have a great weeks fishing everyone and remember "everydays a
good day for fishing ... "
