Hi everyone! Have just got back in from fishing on Tuross
this morning - there are plenty of big whiting around as well as
flathead. Here goes for this weeks report.
Moruya and Tuross Rivers
Graham and John enjoyed a great mornings fishing on Tuross,
catching and releasing flathead, whiting, bream, tailor and
salmon. The most successful lure of the day - the Camion,
alongside Sebile's MX35 as well as the little "splashers" on the
surface. We find it best to fish the run-in tide around the
front of the system at the moment.
Team Tackle World members Nathan, Ray and Crocket have been
fishing Moruya River around the "hole in the wall" with good
catches of flathead, whiting and bream on Red Belly Ghost Shrimp in
the Berkley Gulp range (exclusive to Tackle World stores) along
with the 4" swimming mullet in pumpkinseed. Crocket - a true
bait fisherman - sticks with his "poddies" for good results as
well.
Beaches and Rocks
Some very nice bream and whiting have been brought in off Congo
beach as well as down further at One Tree Point at Tuross.
Good salmon, tailor and bonito are still being brought in off
Broulee rocks.
Offshore
Captain Ron onboard Winda Woppa I and II secured good catches of
snapper, large mowies and gurnard in 50 metres of water with a mass
amount of bait fish out there Ron discovered a patch of 5-6 kg
stripies as well as Yellowfin straight off Congo in 30 metres of
water, along with plenty of flathead and kingies, but unfortunatley
the kingies were only "rats". A mild current is running at
the moment with the water temperature around the 22-23 degrees
celcius mark. Bait of choice is a mixture of fresh bait
fish, Lucanis Jigs and soft plastic Flick Baits.
Beach worms back in stock Saturday morning - be quick they don't
last long! Secure your purchase of Sebile lures thru Tackle
World Moruya - preferred dealer in the Eurobodalla Shire as seen on
Dave Butfield's Hooked on Tackle World. These MX35 Cranksters
assure you of brilliant results on flathead, bream, perch and
bass!
Have a great weeks fishing everyone and remember "every day's a
good day for fishing ... "
