Hey Guys - hope all is well with everyone - we haven't had much
chance to fish this week as we've been in Canberra at a Camping
Trade Show. So for those "campers" out there stay tuned for
some new and exciting stock!
Moruya River
Good catches of luderick and flathead are being had around the
"hole in the wall". Get a nice "drift" going for the flathead
using poddy mullet for best results.
Huge salmon are also being pulled in off Preddies on fresh
bait.
Tuross
The flatead are still on the "chew" down towards the front of
the system with Team Tackle World member "Dougie" getting a
crocodile to the side of the boat only having the flattie spit out
the 33 cm flathead it was chewing on at the time.
The big bream are still around and still responding best to the
Strada deep divers.
Rocks and Beaches
Now that the seas have calmed down some nice gutters have formed
and we're being rewarded with some nice bream, salmon and
tailor - all being brought in off most of the beaches, with
Congo, Pedro and Tuross inparticular fishing very well.
For best results gang some salted pillies or throw out an Arma
Chrome Twisty.
Offshore
Captain Ron onboard Winda Woppa I and II enjoyed a lovely day
out yesterday with catches of flathead, snapper, bronze whaler
sharks, pigfish and mowies in the 22 metre mark straight off the
front of Moruya. Good catches of snapper are also being had
by the "plastic" boys straight off the front as well. The
water temperature is currently sitting at 18 degrees celcius and
its looking good for a nice weekend on the water.
Have a great weekend everyone and remember "everyday's a great
day for fishing ... "
