Hey Guys - it seems that Summer has come early!! We've had a
beautiful week of warm and sunny days with temps between 25-28
degrees celcius! Hope it continues!!
Moruya River
The odd flathead and luderick are being caught down the front of
the system both off fresh bait and soft plastics. Some very
nice bream have also been caught and released further up the system
around the snags using the slow sinking strada picolla 40 mm
hardbody.
Tuross
We enjoyed a great mornings fishing yesterday catching and
releasing some very nice bream and flathead. Lures of choice
were Sebile Cranksters along with the ever popular SX40's.
Watch your toes too because something big followed the lure up and
it looked like a shark to us!
Beaches and Rocks
Good salmon, tailor and bream are still being caught off the
rocks using ganged pillies and Arma Twisties and Anchovies.
Offshore
Captain Ron onboard Winda Woppa I and II reports catches of good
snapper, mowies and kingies out around the 70 metre mark. Due
to a mild current running at the moment Ron was able to get away
with using 4 oz snapper sinkers with the water temperature sitting
around the 17 degree celcius. For an increase in your catch
try using Instinct Snapper Snatchers!
Motor in closer towards Broulee to grab yourself some nice
flathead in and around the 40 metre mark. Most of Ron's
catches were caught on peeled prawns and fish bait. Charters
are currently booked out for today, however Sunday has some
positions available, so give Ron a call on 0404 966607.
Drop in store and check out our new Draconian Polarimage Video
Glasses - these things are great and we can show you some footage
of our fishing!
We have just received some very nice XT Squid rods (would be
great for whiting and luderick fishing as well) both in 7'6 and 8'
range - priced from $150.00 these rods won't last long! Also
back in stock XTM Self-inflating jackets along with children's
jackets in varying sizes.
